One of the key attributes that makes CounterpartyLink a data source ideal for today’s growing compliance requirements is its audit trail facilities. There are two main components to the audit trail information captured in CounterpartyLink:
Change History
Primarily for quality control purposes, all changes to the data are logged with the analyst name and time/date stamp.
Validation Documentation
All data is tracked by reference to the source name used for verification, and a copy of the original source document is captured for audit trail purposes. For example, where a data item was collected from a website, a screen capture of the web page is taken and stored. A log of the changes that have been applied to a record and a reference to the underlying source image can be created. In response to customer or compliance inquiries about the source used to create or change a record, this audit trail information can be made available as required.
