One of the key attributes that makes CounterpartyLink a data source ideal for today’s growing compliance requirements is its audit trail facilities.

All data is tracked by reference to the source name used for verification, and a copy of the original source document is captured for audit trail purposes. For example, where a UK entity was researched, many fields may have come from the local company registry of that entity (e.g. UK Companies House). A copy of such evidence is captured and stored by CounterpartyLink (e.g. as a PDF) in order to provide an audit trail between the value of the field and the evidence from which it was taken. These are kept historically and are available to customers in response to compliance enquiries, etc.
